When The Bitter Southerner challenged the #weloveatl founders to choose their single favorite photograph from over 50,000 submissions in their Instagram feed, Brandon picked one of my photos. He had some kind words to say! See the entire article HERE.
And to my amazement I also received an email from one of my oldest friends with his thoughts as well. He said, “Before I even read the description I was like “this picture of these dudes running through the rain huddled under a peach box is the most Atlanta thing I’ve ever seen.” It just hit right at the core of how I feel about the city going back to when I was a kid from the suburbs, and my mom would take us downtown to her office when we were out of school. When she got off work, we’d go play at the playground that used to be on one of the linear parks along Ponce, and I was just in awe of all of the trees and how lived-in the city felt compared to the suburbs. All the memories just came flooding back when I saw that picture, and then I saw that you took it. Good work, buddy!”
Such an awesome thing to hear. Made my day :)
